LEAGUE RULES
- Game Format: best of five sets; first four sets are to 25 points, the fifth set is to 15
- Only registered players are allowed to play
- Minimum one female on the court at all times
- Minimum four players on the court, otherwise the team will be forced to forfeit
- A team may borrow players from within the league, if needed to prevent a forfeit. NO TEAMS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BORROW PLAYERS FOR PLAYOFFS
- Every 15 minutes a team is late, that team will forfeit one set
- Maximum three touches per possession
- You must serve the ball once it is released from your hands
- Out-of-rotation errors will be called if a team is not the correct rotation
- You can not touch the volleyball net during play
- You can not cross the mid-court line during play
- You can not block a serve
- Please be mindful that this is a church league — conduct yourselves accordingly
Team Size: 8 players per team.
- Each team may select up to 6 players of their choice.
- The remaining 2 players will be assigned by the committee.
- Committee-assigned players will be selected with the goal of maintaining fair and balanced teams across the league.
- Each team must have 2 girls on their roster, as there must always be at least 1 girl on the court

ABOUT OUR CHURCH
The church of Virgin Mary and St. Athanasius serves one of the largest congregations of Coptic Orthodox Christians outside of Egypt where its mother church is located. The church serves over 2500 families in Mississauga and the surrounding area.
The church was founded in 1978 by H.H. Pope Shenouda III and has grown its services since then.
